The Octoberfest event on HF has been around since 2021 and here we are back again for another. For those of you that have been on here for any number of them, how many have you participated in over the years if any? Also feel free to mention to what extent you participated. Did you simply post a bit more than you usually do because of the increased activity on the site? Did you post just enough to get the Octoberfest pumpkin award for that year and then pretty much stop for the rest of the month? Did you get your pumpkin award and then continue to be more active than usual throughout the event?

For 2021 and 2022, I don't recall participating at all nor do I recall exactly why. My guess is it was probably a mix of multiple things such as being busier, not being as interested in posting, and not caring much about the pumpkin awards. By Octoberfest 2023 though, any of those things that were applicable must have changed since I participated to the point of getting the award and have continued to do the same in the years since.

Even more reason to continue the streak in fact. I unfortunately didn't get involved for the first 2, but even just after getting my first pumpkin for the 3rd Octoberfest, it gave me only all the more motivation to keep going for them then after.

My first time hoping to hit the lounge head aswell.

My first time hoping to hit the lounge head aswell.

Every post in the lounge contributes towards both award goals so there is no better time than now to knock them both out. Well the Octoberfest one is of course only here for a limited time anyway, but you know what I mean lol. Good luck!

This will be my sixth year participating in Octoberfest.

Thank you.
You pushing us still, or you slowing down now you got the award?

Looks like I’ve missed out on a year or two! I missed one year, and I didn’t even understand the contest the other year hahaha 😂

Best of luck to you too

I secured my pumpkin a bit ago, but I appreciate it nonetheless!

Thank you.

I plan to post more, but I'll be getting some rest here soon so that will have to continue later on today.

I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. The OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.

If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.

Thanks,
Stanley
