Frances protests are growing what do you think happens next?

Anyone here in France following the demonstrations?

The October 6 protests brought more than 250,000 people onto the streets, according to government figures. Students are demanding better school conditions and more education funding, with teachers and parents joining them. There have also been clashes with police and hundreds of arrests.

What concerns me is how this gets resolved. When young people feel they have to take to the streets to get decent classrooms and enough teachers, the government needs to take their concerns seriously.

At the same time, damaging shops or attacking people achieves nothing for those students. Ordinary people shouldn’t have to pay the price, and peaceful protesters deserve to be heard and protected.

I also think we need to be careful about judging the whole movement from a few violent clips. Many marches were peaceful, even as clashes broke out in some places.

For those living there, what is the situation actually like around you? Do you think the government will make meaningful changes, or will the tension keep growing?
