I'm not asking for how would I create any email account without a phone number, specifically I would like to create a gmail address

When I try to make an account it asks me to scan a QR code with my phone, if just a phone number is enough I can possibly just buy a throwaway phone. But the fact it wants me to use my actual phone concerns me, if I recall I tried to get the QR code link just from a screenshot and just use it in a desktop browser but it didn't work if my memory serves right.

Does anyone know of a bypass to this? Or a to put a phone number on the desktop browser on signup, Thank you.

There is no reliable bypass for the QR code on a desktop browser in 2026. If it detects you're on a VPN, a data-center IP, or a device that has created multiple accounts recently, it will hard-require that phone verification . The whole point of the QR code is to prevent people from using disposable or virtual numbers .

The way around this is to change the conditions of the signup. Hope that gives you some clue.

You should have a look on google about buying one or two uses online phone number. Look for recent ones because Google is good at banning services like that
