Hey , I made a " download " button today but here is the problem!
since i needed space to work i used a large background
Preview:

And if i delete the background layer it comes out like this:

Now if i saved as PNG ( background transparent ) :

but as you can see theres a large space all around
the long method i used was to change the canvas size until it fits well but im sure theres a faster method
merge all layeers, ctrl + click on the little pic (in the layers menu) copy, create new, it will be the right dimensions, paste
Either that or...
Copy the image, then open a new document in photoshop with a smaller size and paste it there.

sorry if this may seems noob but
1.i selected the layer and tried right clicking and did not see copy
2. so i selected the layer and CTRL + C
3. then made a new but when i paste it was right dimension but no button inside xD
Crop tool, make a rectangular marquee around the button with a little space to spare then image>crop.
