I've been working on an IRC client lately and this is what I've come up with. I named it rape!RC and heres a quick preview:

Thanks for the positive feedback guys :) Really appreciate it.

I used DevExpress to create the GUI, their components are really easy to use and have a great style. Theres a variety of skins to choose from as well!

I'm a big fan of simple GUI. This is very nice to me.

I would personally hard code the # on channel and i get the feel user count is not aligned right. But thats just me.

Hmm yes the # sign hard coded sounds good to me.

I've corrected those minor GUI flaws, it looks a little nicer now.
Also, the link isnt dead its a direct link to the file. Try refreshing and see if the Save As dialog appears.

Sometimes i have to do it more than once. My webserver is funky like that.

Im 18/Don't know anything about starting a business/Wouldnt release this as a paid IRC client (its my first) lol so I dont need to worry about it now.

When I decide to make my portfolio containing all my work I will change the name most likely.

i got to lol at the 18 part, when you're 18 you take responsibility and making a business as a 18 year old is is a hole lot easier than as a 16 year old or whatever...

but yea you don't need to make it a paid IRC client just make it a free version and perhaps you'll earn some few bucks on the downloads you get :)

Well what I REALLY mean is I can program, but I dont know the first thing about business.

It would be cool to see this program later as a major contender with other IRC clients out there, but I don't think so haha!

Start making a website with a portfolio. Put ad sense on it and you'll be set for life :D
