I just spent some time doing some prep work for upgrading us to 1.6. I did a full diff compare to check for all custom core file edits we have. It's not too bad but it was time consuming. I actually found a handful of problems where our MyBB 1.4x wasn't properly upgraded to the latest version. I even found one possible security hole which is now fixed.

Since some files were changed which might effect functionality of the site please let me know if you see HF exhibit any strange behavior it wouldn't normally do. And don't report to be stuff that's been buggy even before today. I'm only asking that you tell me if something worked before and doesn't work now.

I expect HF to be on MyBB 1.6x next week. If I can get the new DB server online then maybe sooner. I want to have that done first since I know that the upgrade script is going to take some time to run as it makes changes to 7 million posts in small increments.

I think it will go well. I've done this a few times already. Didn't take too long and things have worked out well. My only real concern is the multitude of custom file edits I've done but it's not too bad either. It's a total of about 20 files but lots of them are one line edits. Like custom hooks I've added or maybe just commenting out code I don't want to run. Then there are a couple bug fixes I've done. I could probably upgrade us today if I wanted to. Just prefer to do the server first.

Today I wanted to get the diff out of the way though so I had an idea of what is going to change and how to approach this.
