There have been recent advances in the kon-boot utility, which allows you to bypass windows and linux authentication by patching the kernel. The great thing about this tool unlike others is that you dont have to risk removing the password or spend time cracking the password.

Step 1. Download the kon-boot iso from http://www.piotrbania.com/all/kon-boot/ (download the new linux and windows version)
Step 2. Burn iso to cd-rom
Step 3. Boot from cd (you may need to change boot settings in the bios)
Step 4. After booting you will be displayed with the windows login screen, when you click login it simply logs you in like it would if you had the password.

i thought there would be a lot more inrest in this, maybe its my low post count. this tool should be part of any sysadmin or hacker toolkit.

I found this, but it wouldn't work on my computer (don't know why), tried it on my friends vista laptop, worked a charm, Thanks for putting this up, Kon boot it awesome!!!
