Hello! If you are new to HF, this thread is for you! HackForums is a great place for a variety of reasons! I have made this video last year which will explain why HF can be beneficial to your everyday life!





In this thread we will be focusing on building your HF profile! Ever wander around the forum and see all these HQ members, with pretty awards, colored usernames, lots of popularity points, credibility and more? Well you can get a flashy profile as well if you put in some work!




Upgrade!

If you are new, please consider upgrading! Since you are new, you must first be L33t before you can upgrade to Ub3r! Pricing starts at as low as 2500 bytes, which is about $5. It will unlock many forum features, and give you a colored username to begin with.

Add an avatar, signature, banner, bio and user title

Take your time to write a bio on your profile. Choose an appealing and original avatar that will help people remember you. Choosing a nice signature and banner will further bling out your profile! Add a catchy user title as well!


Time to get some awards!

While some awards you can purchase, there are quite a few you can earn! Please check the Awards Goals page here.
Along with buyable awards, and awards you can earn, HF sometimes has special awards that you can earn in certain days/months. A perfect example and an opportunity to snatch TWO awards next month is the Octoberfest. The award for achieving 700 posts in October is a green pumpkin award! Why did I say a great chance to get two awards? Because you can also achieve the Lounge Head award, which you can get by making 500 posts in The Lounge in a span of 30 days. October is the best month to grind for this award because everyone will be super active!

If you want the to get the QL award fast, which is achieved by gaining 100 unique Quick Loves from members, you can create a QL4QL thread in the Free Services and Giveaways section, where people will basically QL your thread, reply back, and you will QL them back. To speed up this process, you can simply go to the Memberlist, and convo recently active members about your QL4QL thread. This is a very fast and effective way to get the cute heart award!

You can also achieve the Bronze Tutorial award with ease. It is achieved by posting 10 threads in the Hacking Tutorials section. Now, you don't need to be a hacker and post long and complicated tutorials to get the award (that's what I used to think). Some knowledge on tech topics is all you need!

If you are into Sports betting, use the site's function, play with bytes, and if you wager 100k bytes within a 30 days span, you get an award! But you don't actually need to ''spend'' $200-$250+ worth of bytes, try betting on teams that are almost sure to win. Get some profit, reinvest it into the Sportsbook, and you'll have the award in no time!

The Golden Content award is pretty cool, and I am disappointed not many users are going for it! Just write 5 HQ threads and submit it as a blog. It can be about anything, your personal life experiences, money making methods, other tutorials. They don't even need to be long. Just write about what you want, and as long as it's beneficial to the community, the award is yours soon! And you also get byte rewards for making blogs!

For the green apple you will need 1k popularity points, and achieving that award is all about how active you are. I suggest you hang out in the convo, engage with the community, be HQ, maybe host a small lottery and giveaway, and you will see your popularity skyrocket!

Don't forget to check in every day in our Daily-Check in thread, not only for the bytes, but if you do it 100 days in a row, you get a cool ninja award! If you feel like you're gonna forget to check in, let me know and I'll tag you everyday!

The other award goals require more time to achieve, but if you are dedicated and enjoy HF, I'm sure you'll get them!

Being a part of a group is amazing for many reasons, such as building a network, staying close to successful people, making new friends, having a cool flashy userbar, colored username and more!
