Dyne/Snyke recently asked for deleted account and yes, paid me to do it. Claiming they needed OpSec. I agreed, didn't seem harmful to the community, no open Deal Disputes. Within 24 hours I get wind that he scammed $78k in a months long Social Engineering scam. Now his need to be deleted made sense and I'm rather angry about it. Not that I could ever help the victim recover and my only recourse was to close Dyne/Snyke anyways. Realistically my only true power on the site.

Dyne is a masterful Social Engineer. I suspect multiple accounts are easily achieved for him. Including accounts which build up reputation and site notoriety. Here is why I'm making this thread, I suspect that @Scrubspoof@ is either in on the scam or is actually Dyne as well. Why do I think this, gut instinct. Yeah, I know that's technically not the best route to go when it comes to taking action on an account but with a $78k scam I'm too pissed off to really give a fuck. If I suspected an HF group was involved it would have already been deleted. For now I have banned Scrubspoof while I investigate.

To add to the story, some weeks ago Scrubspoof paid me as well to open a new account, but I have to admit, I was a bit confused because I thought it was Dyne. Scrubspoof opened the new account and btw, aslo gave the exact same OpSec excuse. So either it's because Dyne and Scrubspoof are partners and communication, or possibly, same dude. Very hard to tell but I don't like how similar these accounts are in their behavior and the timings with the massive scam.

Scrubspoof of course swears he wasn't involved in the scam nor is he Dyne. Seems to me some member input might clarify what I should do. I don't feel comfortable closing him if he's not Dyne but I also don't feel after this scam he should be trusted at all.

I manually review each Blog entry for approval. That's required to ensure content is appropriate, not AI written, and the URL's (custom) are SEO friendly.

In the past I haven't been very diligent about checking for new entries. Sometimes weeks would go by before someone finally nudged me to take a look and then I'll approve the entries in the queue.

Today I have finally added a proper notification to myself via PM. Thus I'll know exactly when I have a new Blog entry to approve and the wait should not be more than 2-3 days if not same day approvals.

I'm officially marking the Member of the Month contest open again. It's been nearly 2 years since someone has won the awards. This time we're going to be doing things a bit differently.

The nominations will begin around the last 3 days of each month with a Site News thread.
The MoTM will be chosen by a vote from Staff and Mentor group privately.
Voting for the MoTM will be based on quality of membership decided by the Staff/Mentors.
The winner will get the MoTM award and a cash (in crypto) prize from me.
Winner will also become a Mentor.

And so that cycle will repeat.

For this first month I'm going to make the crypto prize $100. I will likely adjust it as we go forward and announce it of course as each month begins.

If you want to earn Mentor, this is how you do it. You win MoTM. It's no longer a contest about who can get the most popularity but about the measurement of the quality of your membership on HF.

So i was yesterday at 38%, simply went to sleep, wake up to find myself at 24, and my percent dont increase by posting, and idk why
