Disallow the creation of contracts where the linked thread is closed.

A small suggestion, but a great QOL-improvement.

Don't allow the creation of contracts where the linked thread is closed. Also, I would suggest automatically removing or disabling the "Start Contract"-button on thread closure.

P.S: @Staff, if you could remove the "Start Contract"-button from my closed thread, that would be great.
You have my support on this one.

Had this happen to me a couple of times.
Would be great if the button is automatically removed on closure of a thread.
Maybe even make it so if someone were to create a contract with the thread as parameter, prevent creation of the contract and show a warning message.
I know a lot of sellers will open and close their threads, but that's actually a really good suggestion. It's so quick to add a contract to their thread if/when they reopen them.

Seems like a tight addition imo. While I currently do not use the function, I could see the positive impliacations of this

I think removing the contract button on closed threads is a great idea.
Technically speaking if you allow it and vendors are still using it as a way to make money because unaware customers, it's an easy way to see who's a dirtbag or not.
However the addition is a great idea and will improve the QoL of newer or new users perusing the marketplace.

Basically, you want us to change the policy which isn't going to happen.

Just deny the contract, is that so hard? Some sellers use closed threads to conduct business, too.

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.

Peace out!
Some sellers prefer their thread closed but remain to keep the Contract open.
