I have been using Coinbase for a long time without any issues, and I have fully verified my account. I have uploaded my ID, taken a real-time snapshot of my face and linked Coinbase to both my Paypal and bank account. When you combine all of this plus two-factor authentication for each transaction, it's safe to say that my account is fairly secure.
But when I tried to send Bitcoin form my Coinbase account to a wallet, I get an alert saying that the transaction will be placed on hold pending a review. This makes zero sense to me, so I tried to contact support. Well, from what I hear, the 72-hour hold will likely clear before I ever hear back from Coinbase. They have no need to lock my account but did so anyway. It's almost like they are trying to piss their customers off. I would understand if this hold was for a large amount of money, but it's less than $500.
Are there any alternatives to Coinbase that accept PayPal and don't make users jump through a million hoops for small transfers?
