How to remove Write Protection ?

I have a SanDisk Cruzer USB thumb drive and it will not let me delete files, format the disk, or do anything without an error message about being " write protected ". I've tried numerous ways to format this drive, with no success.

Any suggestions?

If it's someone's else, you can give it back the flash drive and ask him to remove the write protection from his computer. Or, you could format it using a tool like Low Level Format Tool : http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-LLF-Low-...rmat-Tool/

I am getting this error when i try to format with Low Level Format software :/

Even the Low Level Format tool says the Disk is write Protected : /

What to do ??

Yeah , I tried this

I need to go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

The Problem with this is that "StorageDevicePolicies" section is not present in my computer :/

Also I have been infected with a virus named recycler which wont go no matter what i do.
