Problem with extreme jamming and browser malware

I want to start off by saying I hope everyone had a good Christmas and Happy New Year. I have a huge problem with my computer lately after fixing the bandwidth problem I was talking about earlier on windows 7. My computer has sporadic severe jam ups that cause me to either restart it, wait fifteen minutes or force the machine to shut off. The problem started when I in some way got "Dosearch" installed on internet explorer. It changed my homepages and can't get it to go to my original home page. I had it in my firefox, but I was able to fix it with a clean install. I did a search on how to remove it with spybot search and destroy, but it didn't work. Now my taskbar jams up sporadically and can't figure it out. I'd take a video screen shot of it, but it's sporadic without warning. Can someone advise me about how to fix it?

you are infected, install malwarebytes scan your computer and change your browser to opera or chrome. see if it helps
