They're far too easy to exploit and it's not in the best interest of the coin to rollout a wallet which is not what we need it to be. People are already very hesitant when jumping on board with OMC because of past events. If you can have the balances stored in separate wallets then I'd fully support you bringing back your wallet but if there's shared wallets then I disagree with it being launched.
They only reason other wallets of that kind have been exploited is because of lack of knowledge and/or incompetence on the part of the owner. Shared wallets have nothing inherently bad about them. Also I didn't close my wallet because of an exploit, it was because of HURRR.
As long as the proper precautions are taken, there is nothing wrong with a shared wallet. I do agree shared wallets are inferior to a properly setup multi wallet setup, but they are also much easier to make, setup, run, and catch bugs. On a multi wallet setup one bug in any part of the wallet handling could ruin that entire wallet. I have worked on a multi wallet and have simply stopped because of the needed time, effort, and because I don't see it as a valuable use of time when OMC is dying out. If the idea of an online wallet is convenience and to get more users into OMC, I doubt anyone will spend the required time to make, setup, test, and run a multiwallet.
Also pools are shared wallets to the extreme. They aren't even separated with accounts, only by a database. Yet thousands of OMC sit in pools and no one (except Blue) take issue with it.
