Do you by any chance save the source codes that people compile?

Why would you even ask him that? What stops him from saying "no" but still do it anyway?

I wouldn't trust anyone with my sensitive source codes, this compiler should be used for little apps that dont matter, not some sensitive programms.
Interesting post. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated!

Added some basic CSS to the site. :p (If some designer who's decent at css wants to help me out making the site look good, hit me up!)

Cause if not someone could download a shell to your server and...

it's compromised

You have a really good point. :x Disabled compile+run for now until I figure something out..

This. I do not save files, pinky promise. 😊

Only use this for small tests, nothing serious.
Probably coding some useless shit.
Nice work OP, hope to hear updates about this soon. eg: colored syntax ect..
I saw you disabled the option to see what the code looks like while it's running, I'm assuming someone tried to get the compiler to download and run a file lol.

It was just a precautionary action. I'll be enable it soon enough when i've set up a sandbox. :)

I am indeed thankful for your tip. :) I'm trying to somehow get the compiled application to run in a sandbox to make enable the compile+get output option.

Is the site running ASP.NET? And I'm guessing its running off your machine.
This is a really awesome idea! Thanks for helping out the community!

Keep in mind that although sandboxed applications can't alter things outside the sandbox they can still access and read them just fine, so if you have any sensitive information you might want to make sure they are not accessible.

Also as an extra tip, make sure to make some checks as far as memory consumption/cpu usage/time running and so on. (I'm not sure how your application handles while (true) loops and so on but that would be an extra step to ensure that people won't be able to crash your server on purpose).

you do know that sandboxes can also restrict read/query access, they are not just for preventing writing.

That means you need to move your compiler and the rest of the things you will need to run your app in the sandbox. Either that or start specifying one by one and set special permission for each item which will be a pain down the line if you want to upgrade your project.

He's building and running the output, thats it. Just run the build in sandbox, it doesn't matter where it's compiled.
