What makes a "Pro" hacker a "Pro" Hacker?

Tools? I don't think you're on the same wavelength. Ever modded out a microwave to send signals farther than normal to mimic other computers? That's fun.

Batch sucks. I used it once to screw with the cd drive to make it open and close forever but after that never used it again. Python is good for whipping up a quick program, C++ goes deeper, ASM you use when you need to start jacking with the mem and process, etc.
And I just like Java since it was my first language.

TL;DR not being you for one. Speaking Russian jacks up your prohacking stat by 5 levels.
When you gaze into the abyss the abyss too gazes into you.

What makes a pro-hacker so advanced is that that person does not use pre-built tools with simple interfaces like a rat, they understand how systems work and function, they have highly advanced programming knowledge and as well as they know how to remove their digital footprints.

RAT's are very basic and anyone can use them.

That's not true... There are a lot of highly respectable hackers who are very smart and seek attention (usually how they get caught)..
Good luck hacking basically any *nix box without using other people's shellcodes :^)
Uhm. I wouldn't consider any "hacker" that just uses RATs a pro... Almost anyone can do that...

Not what i mean, i was meaning everyone can use RATs but at what point in knowlege or something are they considered "Pro"

I always thought writing my own shellcode made me one of the cool kids. ._.

What's a *nix? Is that like a DDos?

Usually, someone isn't "Pro" in all aspects of hacking.

It doesn't, but you can learn a bit here:
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3995986 ~ Local BOF shellcode
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4083645 ~ Bind TCP Shellcode

Reverse TCP soon to come. Though I will be doing a tutorial on manual polymorphic shellcoding :P

I was being sarcastic, though I do have to say; nice work. It's good to see that a few people in this forum still have a sense of quality. You wouldn't be interested in taking a look at something I'm currently working on, would you?
Thanks for all the responses guide, although i would love to hear more from you all but i don't want to be a vampire...

Thanks all,

A pro hacker is an experienced hacker. That being said, an experienced hacker has been through a very many different methodologies of hacking and is able to access computers/websites with tight security.
I find it funny how specific people are here. :D

"A pro hekcer has usually been in school x, for 4 years, 2 months, 3 days and 7,4 hours. While being in there, he had 2 courses related to x, 5 courses related to y and 10 courses in z. After that they usually do thing X and they never do thing X."

Is it regarding shellcode? I wouldn't mind taking a look. Just shoot me a PM.

Also, that doesn't seem all that hard to reverse. I could do it without even looking at that other paper once. I saw enough to know that you'd probably have to write a dynamic library and hook [a] function(s), but you can see that I know how to do that here:

Simplelest defenition:
A hacker thinks, unlike most people.
He uses his mind, unlike most people.

Most (black hat) hackers have had a
different childhood with either being bullied,
overly intelligent or a terrible accident in some form.
A pro hacker is something you are not.
