Allow members to move their own threads within the section

1 move a day would fix this, but that does not really make this a good idea.

Right now the system works, no need to change it right?

One move a thread would be much better.
Honestly I would support this if this were for Ubers. This would reduce requests sent to staff. It'd be the OPs thread only. If a user wants to post in the wrong section, he/she can do so already without moving a thread right? If it's moved to the wrong section, it can always be reported.

I think this is an efficient idea.

How about allowing members to move their own threads within the section, for example; If I post in the Deal dispute section but really it was supposed to go in the Secondary sellers area, I could just move it.
Instead of deleting the thread OR PMing a member of staff.

When I say section I mean you couldn't take a thread from Graphics and move it to Gaming, only the categories that fall under that tab.
Now it won't eliminate the problem entirely but it would cut down on it a lot.

Of course you would have to put some kind of restriction on it, perhaps Leet+, certain amount of posts, etc..

Now I don't make sites, I don't know it's possible, could even be too much work for little gain.

Just an idea, be gentle 👍
You can just full edit your post, copy the code/text, and paste it in a new thread and retitled your thread as "wrong section, sorry".

Heh, yeah: "give us more privileges because I can't post my shit in the right section." :)))

The exploit would involve the accident play. "Ouh, I moved the thread from Rules and Announcements to Premium Sellers because I accidentally posted it in that section" as if that wasn't a big enough jump.

Just junk your thread and create it in the right section.
Kind of a cool idea but I feel like this would fit only to the upgraded members.
Since normal members would tend to create chaos as someone else mentioned.

ONE mentor went rogue and we all lost this privilege.

There is no way in hell Omni would do this without some major restrictions.

I was online that day. Man, I felt so helpless watching some guy destroy the site and knowing that we couldn't do anything about it. I was constantly refreshing to see when a staff member would come on, but luck had it that they were all offline for what seemed to be an eternity. What a shame that particular mentor went rogue. Especially after playing such a large role in the forum, it's disgusting he chose to burn the community that only supported him.

OT: People should just be mindful of where they're posting. You're saying, "what if I make a mistake?" Well, what if you make a mistake when move your thread? What if you move your Innuendo thread to SRPP on accident? Then what do you do?
Sorry but no. Ub3r can junk the thread and create a new one.
