170 Sat/B $10 and 2 hours later....

I usually wait like 1-2 days after crazy price movement for transaction fees to chill out. I was sending ETH for like $2 and erc20's for like $5 just before the market sank the other day. I'm typically in no hurry, there are times in the day fees go down also.
LTC > BTC

But Bitcoin is Bitcoin. I do think LTC is undervalued atm.

$360 is LTC ATH and this past week it hit about $330. There is no reason LTC can't hit $400 very soon under these market conditions.
I don't know much about Litecoin, and it's 1am so I'm not going to research right now, could anyone kindly explain how LTC would avoid similar issues if it reached a similar trading volume to BTC or ETH?

The short answer is that transaction fees will go up but it will be much much lower than Bitcoin as there are more frequent blocks (2.5 mins per block) in comparison with Bitcoin (10 mins per block) so less queue in the mempool.

Not sure if there's any other reason tbh.

It's NECESSARY to spend at least 260 sat/vB to get a transaction confirmed within the hour nowadays.
Sent 60 sat on a transaction fee 5 days ago still not confirmed lmao. Pretty reasonable fee if you ask me.
my client paid $6.71 fee yesterday and until now the transaction still unconfirmed .

ETH will be usable & faster again once Uni moves to L2.
This is exactly what made me want to quit BTC a couple of weeks ago..
It's a love-hate relationship with Bitcoin. We're going to need some solutions for Bitcoin payments. Sadly, using the original Bitcoin network will never cut it. For the meanwhile, LTC seems like a solid alternative if you're making many transactions.
btw, TPS (transaction per second) for Litecoin is 56. For Bitcoin it's 7 and Ethereum (1.0) it is about 15.

So really Litecoin has plenty of room to grow. It's already capable of about 8 times more than Bitcoin and 3.5x for ETH.

Litecoin also has Segwit and imho better adoption. Not all services are yet using Segwit on the Bitcoin blockchain which is real shame.
I guess it is really digital gold... try to move 10000pounds real gold and see how fast you are.
Yeah I had a transaction take days recently to be confirmed, this explains it. From the posts in this thread it definitely seems I should get more into LTC. Thank you everyone in the thread for the helpful information
