this isn't a bug, is intended behavior , stop using the website like a bot. Probably this limitation is lifted for old upgraded accounts.
Is normal for new accounts to have more anti bot measures.

People can be socially engineered into getting their accounts banned. This is a serious security issue. I know the anti bot system is new, but I found my first bug on the website. I'm happy I could help.

I was trying to see if I had any new notifications on the website. Sometimes I repeatedly press Ctrl+R to refresh the page, and I ended up getting banned for possible bot activity. I don't think that's right, or that the system should be designed that way. Someone could even be socially engineered into repeatedly refreshing the page and end up getting their account banned. I'm sharing this as feedback because I think it's something that should be improved.

Omni has had to be quite aggressive against bots from what I understand. It's not a bug, and clearly it was resolved.

HF uses WebSockets for notifications. Refreshing the page won't show if you have notifications any faster unless the connection is lost.

You are an un-upgraded member and repeatedly hard reloaded the page until you got flagged as a bot.
This isn't a bug with the site - it's an intended feature.

I'd just close the thread and move on before the big man finds this thread 🙃
