Tell us about yourself:
I am an aspiring penetration tester, professional web developer (I've worked with small-medium businesses as well as one government contract.). I have always loved learning
about things I enjoy such as computers (obviously), people (psychology, business/interpersonal communication, etc.). I'm a relatively introverted person so I'm not
all that great at talking about myself.
List all contributions to the site have you made within the 6 months:
I haven't been very active over the last 6 months but I've been on the forum a lot more over the past few weeks. I have been very busy getting my life back on track and I am
now getting to the point where I can focus on school and certification courses. I am taking multiple penetration testing courses currently and I plan on taking what I learn from them
and creating tutorials and guides for members of HF that teach real world professional penetration testing skills. I feel there is a lack of high quality tutorials on HF and I would
love to help change that, I've been on this forum for quite a long time and I appreciate the motivation members here have given me and I would like to give back.
Where do you see yourself (on Hack Forums) in the next 6 months?:
I see myself helping many members learn about web development and penetration testing by creating high quality tutorials and guides like I previously discussed. I also have a few
plans for some original marketing ideas which I would rather not discuss in the public domain. Overall I would like to use HF as a kind of notebook for my studies, once I fully
grasp a concept I will write a detailed guide relating to the subject. I don't want to just tell people how to do something, I want to teach them how that something works and why it
works. This helps me out as well as the HF community.
How will joining this group help you reach where you want to be in those 6 months?:
I feel as if a community based off of knowledge, loyalty, and time would be extremely beneficial to my life right now, off HF and on HF. I think the ability to collaborate, share,
and grow with like minded individuals would go along with what I am trying to accomplish in life right now. I am focusing a lot of my time on school, and building my career.
List any skills, training or certifications you have.
Web development (client side and server side), python, C++, pretty much anything *nix or windows, network administration, private investigation, pretty much anything IT, and social engineering.
A+, Sec+, multiple Cisco certifications. I am also currently working on my OSCP, multiple stackskills courses, and the eLearnSecurity PTP course.
Why should we pick you?:
Knowledge has always been a very important aspect of my life. I thoroughly enjoy sharing what I know and learning what others know. Loyalty is a very important trait that I feel is
slowly dying in the world, it would be nice to part of a group that values what I value. I believe I could contribute a lot to this group if given the opportunity.
Thank you for this opportunity! I hope to hear from you soon.
