I mean, I know it CAN be, but definitely not as easy as the HWID systems that are on HF.How do you know? You said you aren't a good cracker, how would you know when something is hard to crack or not? How exactly are you encrypting the keys right now? RSA?

Thanks, I'm not sure yet.. thinking I will host a system and sell access for $5 per app, and sell the system with resell rights for $20. That's just an idea, there are still a few changes I want to make before it's ready to release. (Feb 21, 2011 06:59 PM)[H]ell Wrote: How do you know? Nobody has currently gave it a shot so I would be very glad to see what somebody can do. You will be better off using RSA, since that has a public key, and a private master key. AES uses the same key for both encryption and decryption. And if you use AES in client side application, I will just be able to extract it from the EXE, and than decrypt all the packets. (Feb 22, 2011 07:29 AM)[H]ell Wrote: Hmm AES... This was the easiest path for me to take considering I've never had experience with RSA. Would you mind taking a crack at this?
Very interested.
Just joined this forum to read some of the earlier (and somewhat disappointing) HWID locking threads. I am interested in paying for it (not a hosted version). I would need to be able to edit the system to do the following: 1 not have a separate app for generating the HWID, instead on main app load, check if registered, and if not display registration form. 2.Registration form to include paypal email address field and transactionID field. On completion, should send details to database so i can then check against my transaction details and activate as required. If your code is clean and well commented i could easily do this myself. Let me know if your interested, i can send you some cash, even if the system's not finished. @ AeonHack Your system is obviously tried and tested and looks impressive, but is unfortunately a hosted solution as far as i can see. Do you offer any non hosted solution? I am not fussed about nice front ends, and would happily add users straight to the database if needed, but simply can not rely on a third party to host licensing for my app. (Feb 23, 2011 01:08 AM)6e756c6c Wrote: You'll want to use both RSA and AES. Net Seal was using just AES a while back and someone finally figured it out and cracked it so I had to update the system to use RSA. The profit of using both RSA and AES? The AES key can still be read, making it nothing harder to crack the RSA with or without AES. |
