Now that you mention it...Your right,but whatever I kinda like it this way because you can set the interval so it delays my splash screen a little but.

Change Open form: Splashscreen
Change when project ends: when last form is closed

Splash screen code:
Mainform.show
'Close after 5 seconds

This displays your splashscreen and will also allow it to open correctly. I don't exactly see why this is difficult...You need to retouch on the basics myfriend. :)
