That's bullshit. It might be true that more girls than guys prefer romantic anime's but it doesn't mean that it's a girly anime. If you like it, then you like it. There's no problem with that, nor should you worry about it. You could categorize yuri or yaoi, but even then it wouldn't be correct as there are girls who watch yuri even though they're not lesbians or bisexuals.
Few years ago I liked ecchi and etc but now I don't like it, it's boring for me. I could still watch a romance anime like clannad, true tears and etc, where the plot is serious, there's drama and etc but not only drawn boobies with retarded plot, with no proper ending, like most ecchi's. p.s. atm I am watching Hajime no Ippo, it's gonna be my 10th time in 3-4 years. lol xD Epic anime.
