[HELP] Why doesn't changing my NIC change my MAC address?

As the title says, why doesn't changing my network interface card change my MAC address?

Running windows 7
Are both NICs the same model? or are they 2 seperate models?
Changing your NIC does change your MAC address because it's a different NIC. Are you perhaps referring to the MAC address in your router?

In that case, your MAC is most likely going to be similar but it shouldn't be exactly the same.
