You should add a feature so you can share the snippet with the world.
God no...don't do this. If you didn't know, Leaf didn't go successful.

There's nothing unique, and you would have to spend all those time managing the project. People could put in fake codes that does not work and rip other people off. EDIT : This project is fine as it is.
Hi, thanks all for the possitive feedback :)
Since a few are asking for a new feature to save in a database and to add options to share your codes snippits publicly i may add that. I meen i will keep it the way it is but may add another form for this but that depends on how many uses acually use it for it to be successful and Dark_Noodles has a good point of time spent reviewing and accepting codes to make sure there not LQ, make sure they work and not riped. If it turned out to be something successful that users use a lot then i could add some staff to accept the codes ect, this would be needed as i don't want the program to be flooded with shit, spam, porn link ect and son on. Thanks (Oct 20, 2012 03:23 PM)System[X] Wrote: Registry is effiecent and thats what its made for, storing info. Im not sure how much it can save but i did test with a text of around 5k lines and all the info saved fine and since its not acualy a file and just text then the size is very small Incorrect. Microsoft want's people out of the registry. Use XML or my.settings object. (Oct 21, 2012 01:44 AM)Weakky. Wrote: My.Settings is a really bad idea. XML would be better. Care to explain that stupid answer? My.settings is a xml-formatted config file that the user does not have to worry about permissions. But I always heard that you lost your data in my.settings when you change the location of your program. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ok, since quite a few are asking to save there codes/snippets on a database to use them when and where ever i will add this. I will create a mysql and a couple php files to comunicate with the app and the mysql.
It will stay how it is to save codes locally and an option to add them to the database with a login so only you see your codes or anyone that you give your login too. Later i may make it to allow you to publish the codes for everyone to see, that depends on how many use this app, im not going to add that feature if only a few users use it. We will see how it goes but for the database save and login will be all done tonight. Thanks (Oct 21, 2012 02:17 AM)Weakky. Wrote: I know that.
