This week's poll is all about killing off anime characters. How do you feel about anime that isn't afraid to get rid of a few characters for the sake of the plot?

The question: How do you feel about anime killing off characters? Your choices:

• I feel that unless someone dies, a story just can't get my attention.

• I feel that characters dying may be the final push to making an anime memorable.

• I don't want to see any characters die, but if it enhances the story, I can still enjoy the series.

• I don't like it when characters die, at all.

• If a character I like dies, I stop watching the series.

There you have it guys, your 30th AA weekly poll!

Poll specs: Feel free to leave a comment saying why you picked the choice you did. Feel free to debate/flame/rate and hate. Poll is public and single choice only. Poll will close in 5 days.

Uhm... I think you forgot the poll.

[Nathann22]

You forgot the poll! Dx
I would have to say "I don't want to see any characters die, but if it enhances the story, I can still enjoy the series."

[Chubaca]

Black Hole dear you forgot the poll.

But I am going to vote for:
"I feel that characters dying may be the final push to making an anime memorable."

[Cystomatic]

I choose this one: 'I don't want to see any characters die, but if it enhances the story, I can still enjoy the series.'

[Black Hole]

Yeah sorry about that. HF was having some problems :/

[Alexchaos]

I'll vote for
"I feel that characters dying may be the final push to making an anime memorable"

It's not necessary for a character to die but if there's no death on the protagonist's side, I feel bored.

[Chubaca]

Yeah sorry about that. HF was having some problems :/

Don't worry. I already voted Hope my vote wins.

In most cases, and if it's done in the right way, someone dying can make the anime more memorable for sure. Especially if it's a semi main character like Spoiler (Click to View) Ace from one piece or Kamina from TTGL

[Hentai]

I personally hate it when character die. I cried when (Elfen Lied spoiler)Spoiler (Click to View) Mariko Kurama and her dad where blown to pieces.
Since that time I never like watching characters die. Nothing is black and white. I will still watch a series though I just don't like it as much.

[Sensetive]

I feel that characters dying may be the final push to making an anime memorable. , WHY? , because I love Death Note

[Rakshasa]

Interesting topic this time. For me it really depends, in most cases I love it when a few relevant characters die, but it strongly depends on the atmosphere I have succumbed to.

Voted for option 2, deaths tend to make things more memorable.

[Elfen Lied]

I think that deaths really helps make a series very dramatic and enjoyable although it isn't necessary in slice of life genres.
I find it hard to watch any action show that doesn't have any deaths from the main characters so this is a hard one to choose, anyway overall I went for "I feel that characters dying may be the final push to making an anime memorable.".

[Fox]

"I don't want to see any characters die, but if it enhances the story, I can still enjoy the series."
I picked that choice. It usually depends on what the anime is about though.

On another note, I love AMV you posted! ;_;

[Akarin]

Fuck, most producers like killing anime characters like fuck, they sometimes go too far to be honest.
(Gantz spoiler):
Spoiler (Click to View)Killing off the whole cast, really?. What the fuck people.
