Ah nice to see people that are helping the new ones:)
So I go to try and rat myself with my rat (I use dark comet) and it isn't showing up in my user section of dark comet.

Are you using your localhost? Being 127.0.0.1

If you are not trying to use localhost, make sure you have this check list down.
  • Port the RAT is pointing to forwarded

  • Pointing to your correct IP or no-ip link

Do you think DarkComet 5.3 is the "best"(in your standards) free RAT?

DarkComet is indeed the best free and reliable rat I would say. The version I'd recommend getting is 5.3.1F as after that the owner had stopped creating malicious programs.

No I am using no-ip. Not using local host.

Switch to your localhost, then run it on yourself.

Just to make sure, localhost works only on yourself, right?

Correct, to infect others you'd need to use your no-ip host.

So No-IP allows you to have a Dynamic IP since you're using their "domain".Will I have any problems to consider If I'm using a VPN?

Edit: You gotta love my newbie questions :D

What? No-IP doesn't make you have a Dynamic IP, it is just your host, and no you will not have any issues if you're using a VPN as long as it supports portforwarding.

If you plan on using a VPN I'd suggest Anonymous' VPN which costs $5/M as it allows portforwarding.
Great thread Understalker! I will be trying to help as many people as possible too.

Just some stuff you need to remember:

1. Use your No-IP Hostname in the IP/DNS section when building your server

2. After you port forward, make sure that you are listening on the port in your RAT and remember to check if it is working whilst listening at http://canyouseeme.org/.

3. If you are using a crypter, only use the minimum settings that you can in your RAT like adding the port and No-IP and do the rest of the settings in your crypter like Startup.
