What, if any, wiki's have you worked on?
At this time I have not worked on any wiki sites, however my experience in writing surpasses many who may have worked on a wiki page.
Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team?
This goes back to my first month on Hackforums; I saw this group consistently posting high quality information and helping all types of members, but most importantly it consisted of writers. In order to learn about my passion for writing, we must learn about my past. My first spark of motivation came alive when I learned about science at a young age. This motivation pushed me to research further until I became intrigued with the writing styles and diction these scientists would use. Unlike most children at my age it seemed as if I was addicted to writing and learning more about the english language. At the age of five I was writing and creating my own imaginative stories as a form of entertainment. It started off as a simple hobby, but slowly evolved into a passionate love for the art of writing. To be honest, I would have given up if it wasn't for my dad's commitment to being an author. My father, at this point in time, is my biggest inspiration after writing three books revolving around his profession, music producing. Without him, my love could easily have been replaced by something not as meaningful.
As we sweep back to the first months of my presence on this forum, I found myself creating goals for the future which provoked my activity on Hackforums. One of my most prioritized goals was in fact getting accepted into the group, Writ3rs. Slowly did I discover, this goal was going to take a lot of work. In the time period of 2012-2013 was when my writing really became one of my better attributes. I worked hard in my AP english course constantly asking for ways to better my writing, a lot of times I discovered myself waking up to my computer mouse in the early morning hours. The Hackforums wiki team I feel provides a place for me to enhance my writing even further. This will be a large stepping stone in my pursuit of becoming a great writer and I hope I can take advantage of this opportunity before I run out of time.
To conclude, I have lived my life using goals and achievements in order to motivate and better myself, this is the main reason why I want to join Writ3rs. I know I can contribute fully and provide high quality articles which are written to the best of my ability. By doing this, my other goals will shed a positive light and I know they will be accomplished; for the one thing that my personality doesn't lack is determination.

Section: The Lounge
When first arriving onto the site of Hackforums, most members jump right into the lounge. The common question to this is why? The lounge is a very friendly and active environment for the new and even experienced members. It consistently provides insight, philosophical questions, and the occasional humorous tale.
After more than four years of activity, The Lounge currently has over 16,980 pages, containing more than 304,000 threads, just think about how many posts there are. Although many of threads from the Hackforums beginnings cease to exist, one of the first threads is linked here:
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4673
You may laugh at the posting quality, but believe it or not this is the kind of threads that started what we know and love today.
Back in '07-'08 days unregistered users were allowed to post in The Lounge, but as it progressed email activation and account set-up became required in order to post and share insight. Quality was also less encouraged upon back then due to the low population of users. Today users are expected to be high quality right after that email activation is complete. The changes that have occurred in the small span of over four years is incredible. As time progressed soon a subsection of The Lounge was created and is called Innuendo.
Innuendo discusses sexual hints, love help and anything in between. As activity began to pick up sets of rules needed to be put into place. One of the bigger rules that was created stopped adult content such as links, pictures and videos from being posted. This rule was one of the biggest factors that kept Innuendo a section to cherish.
To conclude, The Lounge is a place of history and new beginnings. It holds past threads that make up the very essence of the site today and without it hackforums would be a very different place. As changes happen and past memories are replaced by new ones, we as a community must always remember where we came from for memories shouldn't make us bitter rather they should make us better.
