What, if any, wiki's have you worked on? I haven't, unfortunately. But, I've been writing a lot of reports as well as essays.
Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team? I would love to join the HF Wiki team, to contribute to the forum. By contribute, I don't mean to give away stuff, but to give the whole Hackforums community a helping hand.
I have always been fascinated of how much work the Wiki team as well as the News team put into their work.

Quick overview:
The site hackforums.net, would in any ears, sound like a forum full of illegal activities - but no. The site have strict rules against everything containing blackhat* activities, sales of dumps*, and so on. The site is a MyBB forum ran by the member, admin and owner Jesse Adam Omni,, better known as Omniscient and have been for the last 5 years. The site have been a huge succes for Jesse, and does now contain over 400.000 members, and 27.600.000 posts where over 4.700.000 posts are posted in [i]one[/i] section!
From Hackforums stats page (hackforums.net/stats.php) is it stated that almost 150 members are registering pr. day on average!

You might think, what is the site actually about, if it's not about illegal activites? The site is actually splitted up in a lot of sections. First of all, they got their most famous section called "The Lounge", which is the section you can talk about anything you want to, as long as it follows the sites guidlines. Besides that, they have the following tabs: General Topics (where The Lounge is placed), Hacking, Cumputing, Coding, Gaming, VIP Area, Groups, Webmaster, Graphics, Marketplace, and Money.
The tabs are pretty much explaining themselves. The hacking tabs, are for anything related to hacking. Computing is related to malware, OS, and mobile OS as iOS and Android. Coding is, as the name, related to programming/coding in different languages. Gaming is about gaming, in different genres as well as games. VIP Area, is a tab for the upgraded users where they can discuss about what ever they want, as long as it follows Hackforums.nets guidelines and rules. Groups is a place where you can chat with the members inside the usergroups you are a part of, if you are a part of any, or you can apply to usergroups. Graphics is about graphical questions, help and graphic services. Marketplace is the tab for the business related guys and girls who want to earn money, by selling their product or service. The Money tab is a tab for stuff relating to PPD (Pay Per Download), CPA (Cost Per Action), cryptocurrencies and so on.

[b]Blackhat:[/b] Blackhat activities are activity which happends on the dark side of the web. Black hatters are often known as hackers/crackers who breaks into a computer system with malicious intent.

[b]Dumps:[/b] Dumps is when you are in ownership of a file containing tons of logins to different sites which is not yours. Those dumps are often sold for cheap, as there's a risk of the logins to be recovered by the original owner.

Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team? I would love to join the HF Wiki team, to contribute to the forum, on a weekly basis. By contribute, I don't mean to give away stuff, but to give the whole Hackforums a great read every single week.

The Wiki Team and the News Team are two different divisions of the Writ3rs. What we're recruiting for has nothing to do with the News Team side. The Wiki Team has nothing to do with the HF News - that's all News Team side.

I have found out. I misunderstood something, I guess, as I already knew there was a difference between the News team and the Wiki team, but by some reason mixed it all up.
I've got the differences told by Viral, and edited my application so there should be no misunderstandings.

I haven't really worked on any wiki's but I've read a lot of them as most people have and I'm very willing to adapt my writing style to that of a wiki, I'm sure I can learn a lot from the wiki team's very talented roster of writers.
Why do you want to join the HF Wiki team?
I want to join the HF Wiki team because I think it's an opportunity for me to contribute to HF by being a part of this group and it will mostly be a learning experience to help me improve my writing by picking apart the brains of the many talented writers available in the group.
So in short joining this group will not only be an opportunity to contribute to HF no matter how little the contribution may be it's also going to be a learning experience and one I am looking forward to if I am given the opportunity.

I am aware that the writ3rs compile information for the HF wiki, I just wanted to know a few things:

1) If you get accepted, are you given certain topics which you're to write about & post them in a thread for review?
2) What is the activity like in this group? Is there a set amount of time we are to spend writing for the wiki?
3) Would it be a full time sort of group? (Having to write a set amount of articles per week.)

With me being starting University soon, I couldn't spend all day writing articles for the wiki. I just wanted to know some things which would either make me apply or not.
