That isn't accurate as it counts the packets sent, not the ones transmitted to the target host.
Get somebody to provide you a dstat to see the real power.

using a good minecraft host (1 Gbps+ connection) will hit home connections and small websites down.
dstat doesn't matter since its a shell you have to upload to a server somewhere with unknown specs.

btw, i didn't use a minecraft server in that post you quoted.

I wasn't able to open the boot.php, I named to pvp.php and still there was some weird java errors in the console..
What Bukkit version you where using ? What if the host is Windows does it matter?
