That sexy ass security setup. Probably the most expensive on this forum, but for the good reasons.

Is there a reason why you don't have an Antivirus and use the basic Windows Firewall ?

My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.
Antivirus : I use Microsoft Security Essentials because it seems to be the easiest one for me to use, and it always does what I tell it to do. Also it is free.
Firewall : Just standard windows firewall. Don't need anything else than that.
Antimalware : For this I use MalwareBytes simply because it's awesome, easy to use, removes malware and updates regularly.
Protection Utilities : None.
Others : Erhm well to clean and wipe stuff I have CCleaner, DarkComet remover, Infest Cleaner and then just my own experience from having RATed people before such as msconfig, task manager, %temp% and %appdata%, cmd etc knowledge.

You might want to uninstall MSE and install another free Antivirus :

A free Antivirus like Avast! free or Avira.

Yea I read that. I might just go without an AV and then just go with malwarebytes and comodo firewall (Just downloaded that)

Comodo Firewall is a very good firewall, I just advice you to disable it when you run scans with tools you know are trustable like AdwCleaner, JRT, RogueKiller, etc. otherwise you're going to have a bad time going through these scans.

I don't use any of those you mentioned. Is this the same when I scan with malwarebytes?

I don't think it's the case with Malwarebytes as Comodo most likely flagged the program as trusted. But I'm sure you can add Malwarebytes and all these programs to a trusted/white list. Otherwise, you have to allow every little modifications they do to your system, every access, etc.

yeah i guess you can say that lol. MBAM is just a secondary check for me, i actually found out about the MBAM anti-exploit from this forum as well and have no complaints about it yet so.

That's what Malwarebyes should be used for, a secondary on-demand scanner. Also, the Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit is still in a beta phase if I'm not mistaken so it can have small flaws but overall there was no major bug to report on it yet.

Is there a reason why you don't have an Antivirus and use the basic Windows Firewall ? I don't have an anti-virus as I don't download anything from third-party websites, with one or two exceptions. I usually just use my brain, whenever I download stuff.

What websites do you include as third-party websites ?
