The Abuse of Sections

but most importantly, it's being used "the way it should be" who defines how it should be set? If we asked omni right now, what his intentions were when opening up that section, do you think he would of told you that? And i mean honestly, don't "we" as users make the decision of how the outcome goes? I don't see the point in dismissing it because it's how it should be. But you have your own views, and trust me, i get that. But do you get my views?

You're right. Just let Omni or another member of staff share their opinion on your suggestion, you've made your case.
wow
that's offensive

"We" don't make the decision for anything. Only Omniscient does.

The sooner you understand that, the sooner you'll begin to enjoy his website.

I agree, I think we've all stated our opinions. hahaha but let's see how things go. And thanks to all the people, for and against, who actually bothered in sharing there opinions. That means more to me, than the outcome itself.
I am actually in favor of this, I'm not active or post in the cryptography section but it's always flooded by LQ (not saying all are) free crypter threads.

But just a second ago you said it was being used the way it should be used, or in other words, the way it was intended? So was that the way Omni intended it to have it?? I'm pulling your leg, i've decided to let staff weigh in themselves though.
(Feb 19, 2014 11:38 PM)BoomShot Wrote:  The thing is, this will never happen. The cryptography section is being used the way it should be. It will not change.

If a section can be improved significantly and will only improve it, why not do it?

I'm not suggesting on removing the section, I encouraging for there to be a new sub-section within the Cryptography section.

Look at the coding section, C# Programming Language is a sub-section to Visual Basic and .NET Framework...

If you are a true participate in the cryptography section then you should know that the difference between crypters and actual cryptography content like what i stated before are just as different as VB and C#.

Creating a subsection within the cryptography section wouldn't affect the crypter threads, if anything it would severely enhance the amount and diversity of the more cryptography related content in the cryptography section.

My suggestion to you is if you see a thread that doesn't belong, then report it as such.

Okay i'm back in this! THANK YOU, that section is "advanced hacking" in which there is a BIG difference between crypography and crypting... ask anyone who has a degree and is knowledgeable in this field... i'm not asking for crypting to be removed, i'm simply asking for what other people who supported this asked for too!

Then you'd be reporting a bunch of threads.. and since there's not a description option on reports, you can't really explain to staff why your reporting like 100 threads, also it'll be considered as nothing wrong with them, unless you can acknowledge the problem as an entity.

What I meant is if you see a thread that literally isn't anything to do with cryptography, then report it as such.

For example, "what is the best RAT?". Then you just report it and it'll be dealt with.

We may have our differences on certain topics, but i'll take your advice on that dude. Without a doubt...
Though it would be nice if the section contained more information about cryptography, the free crypters and such are in the correct section.
To be honest, though; I wouldn't mind seeing a small reform of the section, maybe a subforum for free crypters or something. It'd give more room for people to share their knowledge on cryptography itself.

You've made a good point here, don't let the haters get you down.

Hay thanks man :D

For some reason, it really means a lot coming from a writer.. Probably because you spend time writing credible things, so I mean i'd probably value what you have to say more, making it right or wrong..

But thanks for the support bro!
I'm not certain why people are taking my responses as attacks or "hating", I'm sharing my opinion and he's sharing his.

The main reason I don't think this suggestion is necessary is because those posts belong in that section and if they don't, then you report them and they'll be dealt with.

I'm sorry that people are taking it so personally, but I'm just giving my opinion.

That's why backed off a little bit, because I took the time to step back and evaluate things. I understand what your saying, but wouldn't it be nice to have a more organized section for people who value that section at the same time? Forget about being right for a moment.. What's better? Reporting threads 24/7, or letting people know its wrong now to do in certain areas, and seeing a new section thrive again?

I'll be blunt about it, even if these sections were added to "organize" the section. It'll still happen over and over, because people see that as the correct section.
