I was thinking about starting a new usergroup for HF Mentors. These would be people that would pass a test about rules and policies of HF. This imho would cut down on the spam and repeated posts in that area. The group would have it's own usergroup image but the color would be same as ub3r as part of requirements would be that you have to be in the ub3r group to apply. An award for Mentor would also be given.
The idea is that these would people would help support staff but not be on staff. Might even be a good pathway to joining staff. Most of the problems with selecting potential staff members is finding out who actually understands policies and rules.
Any opinions on this idea?

Yeah could be something like a Veterans group but really it would serve a more profound purpose and have direction versus just simply handed out to people that have been here a long time. This would be more about knowing all the rules and understanding site policies. I'd have actual criteria and a test to join this group.
Yeah I like the idea, nice thinking Omniscient.
This is a great idea and I would love to be a part of it.
I like the idea, it would help ease the load on current staff. Count me in if you ever want people for this.

Seems like a great idea hands down.
Hopefully I can join the group. :)

Nice.
And I like that user image.
Great idea and great userbar. I'd like to do it too.
I agree that it should be open for HF originals, I think it is a great idea.

I think this is a great idea, should really help some new users and others that need a "reminder" on what the rules are.

Brilliant idea, it won't just show you who's aware of all rules, policies etc, it will also encourage others too read and abide by rules and policies :)
