First time use does take some time to load configurations such as licensing, the new scheduling process, and what not. It did the same for me, but now its smooth sailing. Please keep in mind this is a Beta version, and nothing released to the public. Yes, it is legit. I don't have time to go and imitate a potential MalwareBytes GUI and infect you all.
Redownloaded and worked fine, thanks!

Glad to hear that it is up and running. It is great to support a tool that you've used for a long time. It does not hurt the company and helps it by sending anonymous usage information. 🤩
If anybody should experience the same thing, it is not your computer, but Malware Bytes getting acustomed to your computer. It is pretty d**n amazing what they did here, the scanning engine is super efficient! 🤗 I've never seen something like that except in ESET.
The best part about this is the enthusiasm/excitement from Maitricks :D
OT: Maybe will switch later tonight, cbf to do it atm. Also, I don't like the UI tbh, but I say that to everything I update with different UI's, I just need to get used to it.

I won't argue with that, it does look like a fake AV, even though it is 100% legit, a bit cartoony? I'd try it out if I were you, those several first post guys are missing out, big time. The features are the dopest dope i've ever doped.
Not stable.
lolololol
yah figured these reports would be coming in soon enough
Looks really bloated and the type of application with advertisements laying around here and there. It's overdone, I prefer the old GUI.

Yes that is exactly what happened for me one time for a little bit, if you leave it alone it will re-bounce back and not hang, its operating really perfectly right now for me 😉

My thoughts exactly. I don't know why people like these bubbly polished designs over a simple and effective one. Their scanning engine wasn't even changed in the update, it's the exact same piece of software.

Wow. I'm sorry its not working out for everyone, its funny how my crappy i7 operating @2.1 can run this Beta really smoothly. It never hurts to try, and I can't wait for a stable release. MalwareBytes is IMHO excellent only for second opinion scanning, that is pretty much it. Website blocker, not that bad either.

- Different interface
- Self-Protection Module prevents any modification of the files, including changing of permissions. However, you can still kill the latest version through image file execution options (lol'd)
- Malware protection module now prevents potentially unwated programs and modifications. Finally.
- Better rootkit scanning for malware outside of userland
Malwarebytes isn't that great, it just has a decent heuristic engine and is good at detecting unwanted applications.

I'll stick to version 1.75.
Well, I have to apologize to those who it is not working out for. I think it is perfectly fine, and the newly added features work great. The engine is more efficient than the prior one which would freeze up on me, and my computer is not even all that great. Its running an Intel i7 clocking @2.1 Ghz, which is horrible. Oh well, it is going to work for some, and not for others. There is a reason why this is Beta. MalwareBytes is pretty damn good.
Dat self-protection module
^^^ lulz --- thats some hardcore haxes
that was goood. +1
Not bad. I like the new features and the better stability!

I'll have to agree with you on that one. I think they should had kept the old GUI and just add the new features. I don't know what's the deal with companies wanting to make all their applications "flashy" and "cool". Most of the time, a simple GUI that covers all the basic needs is better than a "bloated" GUI.
Fiat justitia ruat cælum
My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.
My god their UI now just looks too busy, I rather keep the old one, or at least make the damn ui not look all over the place.
