PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST ANY SKYPERESOLVER!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here below is a noob friendly guide on how to protect yourself against any Skyperesolver.
Some of you may know this method already but im just putting it out there because it worked out great for me.
So in short, after sucessfully completing this tutorial noone will be able to find your IP through a Skype resolver.
Some of you may know this method already but im just putting it out there because it worked out great for me.
So in short, after sucessfully completing this tutorial noone will be able to find your IP through a Skype resolver.
First the problem explained.
The reason people are so easily able to pull your IP right now is because of an exploit in the way Skype is programmed.
By making use of this exploit, your IP is exposed as long as Skype is sending/receiving data with your username as long as you are connected to the internet and Skype is on your computer.
This is why, despite numerous Skype username and IP changes, your IP could still be instantly found with any skyperesolver.
In this tutorial we are going to patch Skype to fix the exploit.

IMPORTANT: This method works from windows xp and up. i will try to upload a method for Mac soon.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before starting, turn off/close skype and make sure its not running at all.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets start:
First off the most important part! You either have to use a VPN or Proxie because after patching Skype the resolvers will display the last ip that was connected to your skype name. I used a VPN but it will ofcourse also work with a proxie or just temporarely change your ip adress.
When you are either connected to a VPN or using another ip/Proxie, you open your Skype and login to your account. After that, go to any skyperesolver like skyperesolver.com and make sure your new/fake ip pops up when you resolve your skypename.
When you completed this, close skype again and make sure its not running at all.

Now open notepad.
Then simply paste this:
After that save it as skypepatcher.vbs
MAKE SURE to make it .vbs
MAKE SURE to set the filetype to all types. Otherwise there will be anyname.vbs.txt and it obviously wont work.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Save it on a place you will find it again. Lets say the desktop.
Now run it (double click it)
If it goes correctly there should pop up a messagebox with the text: "Skype Is Patched Successfully."
If you need permission from the administrator you will get this error:

Just do the same as above only use this code instead of the one above.
Congratulations! You've just patched the exploit.
Then simply paste this:
Code
Set objShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
ss= objShell.RegRead ("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Skype\Phone\SkypePath")
ss= """" + ss + """"
'Add Block rule
objShell.run "netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=""SkypeBlockTCP"" dir=out action=block program=" + ss + " enable=yes protocol=any profile=any"
'Add Allow rule
objShell.run "netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=""SkypeAllowToProxy"" dir=out action=allow program=" + ss + " enable=yes remoteip=127.0.0.1"
'Turn On firewall
objShell.run "Netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state on"
msgbox "Skype Is Patched Successfully."After that save it as skypepatcher.vbs

End IfCongratulations! You've just patched the exploit.

Now Open Skype(!DONT LOGIN!) and navigate to Connection options.

Use the following settings (make sure it matches perfectly, otherwise it will not work):

After that close Skype completely, and then run it again.
If you want, you can now disable your VPN/Proxie or just switch back to your old ip.
Now just login and done! No one will be able to find your ip again!!

Note: when i tried this my Skype kept trying to login but wasnt able to login.
The problem is your firewall. Here is how to fix it.
go to:
Start
Control Panel
System and Security
Windows Firewall
Then on the left side you should see Restore defaults.
Click on it, and then click on the Restore defaults button.
When done this, Skype should work again :)
