Then you update their reputation in 24 hours.
Thumbs down. This is just gonna cause more issues than good.

Yeah I like this value as well. I have to wait until 6 today to change a REP for someone who didn't delete their messages.

What lol? I don't understand how this would cause issues.

More options for rep = more issues and drama. It's a rather simple formula. If you really forget that the person you're repping is a scammer and need HF to have an option to edit reps past your max given reps you're a fool. It's too much of a fine-line thing because we already can edit reputation, just not after we've given out max for the day. So I don't see it happening.

This is very needed, I really needed this at one point because of a small mistake.

Exactly.
Plus, the reputation system is fucked up. I think it's being revamped.

As much as I like this idea
It will just be abused
People will just troll update one persons rep so.

Then you can just report them for rep abuse.

People are trying to find every single way on how this is bad. It's not, this won't create any issues whatsoever. Reps don't b,ump anymore when they are updated.

The whole point of that scammer warning, I think, is that Omniscient gets less PMs. This is just a plan for him to get 4x the current amount of scammer reps/rep abuse pms.

There are hundreds, two stated on this page.
I'm all for this idea! Nice one, OP! :)

Troll update one's rep? You already can do that.

This. What if you were to make one small mistake and it was your last rep of the day? ;_; There's no way this would cause issues.
more like a delete rep button. All you have is the option to change the given rep, positive, negative, neutral. Deleting reps would be cool.

It's not that it's necessarily bad. It's pointless. It doesn't benefit HF or the reputation system in any way. Consider who would have to make the change. (Omni). So it's wasted time and energy.

That was a big cause of rep abuse so the feature to delete rep was removed entirely, I doubt it will be readded. But who knows what reputation overhaul surprise Omni has in store.

I've seen numerous people - including myself - giving positive reputation to a scammer when they meant to do negative (forgot to change the value), meaning they had to wait until able to give reputation again to update it.
Anonymous likes it so I do too. I think there needs to be a remove rep button as well.

You wait till tomorrow, then you update the rep.

This encourages rep ing and further rep abuse.
