It's quite confusing and I thought a tutorial on it should be added.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see my problem.
Make an account on a pool (eg. Doc's or Xen's) and create a worker.
Put in the premade config from Doc's thread into a batch file in the same directory as your miner (CGMiner = AMD and CUDAMiner = Nvidia), and edit the config to match your worker and account settings.
Run the batch file.

Q: I am allowed to mirror the official Omnicoin wallet on my personal website to give out to friends?

We prefer you do not because we want to minimize the possibility of those who might infect the download. It's why I posted the MD5 and put an official download mirror. We don't need more. I can probably setup 5 of them if we needed.
Cant wait until the Mac version of the wallet comes out. :)
Wallet won't sync for me.
Is there an online wallet?
Is there a config file I need to make or something?
Using Windows
I'm already mining, if anyone needs help setting it up PM me.
Hello? Can anyone help me or is this going to be a disaster like the last time we tried OmniCoin

Have you deleted your appdata from OMCv1?

Yes I already have done that.
Never mined before, but I'm wondering if you have to mine in a pool or can you mine solo?

You need to cd src/leveldb and then make

As long as I backup my wallet, I can access it from anywhere if I do have the OMC client, correct?
(never backed up my wallets with other coins)

Yup. Specifically, you really only need the private key. Memorize your private keys and you're golden

I don't see any logical reason to disable UPNP support as an end user?
If I were to guess I think exactly nobody has forwarded the peer exchange port, so if nobody has UPNP support enabled in the client people are going to have a hard time synchronizing with the network.
It's much better to explain how to compile miniupnp instead.
