Did you even think that through or was it for the hell of it? Do you understand how much of a time was that would be, going through a thread that has Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Steam, MineCraft and other games recruitment and then singling them out one by one? ❓
You list all your games under each of thier respective consoles.
Xbox One
Titanfall
Ghosts
BF4
FIFA
and so on.
Then, when it comes to recruitment go through the thread IGNORING what it is they applied for for the time being. Then when you have the people that catch your eye you can shortlist them and work from there putting them in their desired sections.

If I was going to recruit this many users for this many games, I'd have each section set up a Google Docs application form, with your traditional questions. HF username/email/contact method would be a field on the form that applicants would fill in along with the other questions.
The leader of said section then checks their email every so often and goes through all of the applications. They can then PM users on HF that they want to trial practically in-game.
The single thread on HF can link to 10-20 different Google Docs applications. That way Google Docs is clogged up, not the groups section here :P
It's not really having recruitment off-site, since the 'mothership' link thread would still be on-site and users would still be trialled on-site. It just removes a lot of the legwork that clogs up the group forum from HF, that's all.
Just a thought. What you're doing doesn't break any rules, but there must be more efficient ways of doing it. Good luck with your recruitment!

You just repeated what you said last time so I'm not going to waste my time replying the same thing, go back a page or two and you'll see what I originally said.

It really isn't. I know what I am trying to say, but it is difficult to word.
Right, say I was a hotel manager hiring for all positions. I would hand out application forms and then read through them. I would throw the forms out from the people I knew not to hire leaving me with a shorter list. With the new list I would have my Barman, my front-of-house receptionist, my head of house-maids, my house-maids, my kitchen staff and etc. You then repeat the process until you have the desired number of successful applicants whom you contact with a 'Congratulations'.

So you're going to be hiring people for different positions under one application based on one type of a job? Like I said it's not as easy as you think, you're just thinking about it, doing it is different.
It's like Omni atm, he is thinking about features and it sounds easy but implementing them is going to be harder.

All application forms are normally standard across different internal jobs anyway. They just have a box for position applied for (section applied for in your case). You just ween out the crap and you're left with the standard you want. From there you have less to chose from, but what you do have will be real potentials.
Looking over 1001 threads is going to be ten times harder.
They're different sectors posted at the same time, too many sectors/areas but that's the groups' choice. It seems allowed. Also, half the page after that is also Instinct recruitments :P
Instinct is simply recruiting for many different sections. It would be a real cluster if it was all merged into one thread. Each thread created has its own separate leader to read the applications thus making it easier for the leader and group to decide who is being accepted and who isn't. I really don't see what the big deal is.
I think it should be allowed maybe, but there should be an option along the lines of "avoid all threads from XX group" for people who have no interest in a group. Let's hypothetically say I hated Vinnie and never wanted to talk to him. I could click "ignore all Instinct threads" or something like that.
PS: I love Vinnie, just an example.

I was not talking on behalf of Omni. The way I describe him sounds "disgusting?" Lol, Vinnie, what are you on? I'm aware he's not some freaky member-hating guy, I actually like him. I said that it's not a good idea to private message Omni about a suggestion thread because in this thread it says:
Quote:If you PM me a thread to read in this section I'm going to automatically rep fuck you, ban you, and rip your account open like a can of tuna.
Got me!
When Omni clearly states he doesn't want people to PM him, well, I would assume he would mean you as well.
(May 15, 2014 08:27 AM)Vinnie Wrote: But let me show you something pretty funny which is exact same as this, someone posted it but the post was deleted.
Should I go and make a thread about these threads being posted in the correct section? 😧
The HF News sections and the group section isn't the same situation. I won't bother to change your mind because we both know even if I provided convincing evidence you wouldn't change your thoughts, but, well, it's not.
Personally I think that group's should have their own respective sections for things like recruitment or announcements as a sub-section in the group section, but I don't really care enough about that to suggest it.
(May 15, 2014 10:34 AM)Vinnie Wrote: Omniscient replied and he doesn't mind it.
He doesn't care about it is what he really said so I don't think anything will be done. 🤝
Now, if Omni would close this thread himself and say he did indeed verify via PM that it's perfectly okay and nothing will be changed about it, then I'll fully accept it (not like I have much of another choice, lol).

The first, and half of the second, page in the group section is filled with Instinct threads. That's what I think the big deal is, anyway.

Please do not post on my thread with off-topic information and flaming content. Thank you.
Let me again make it clear I have nothing against Vinnie or Instinct.
Vinnie, I realize that you believe all the threads are necessary and I'm not going to try and tell you how you should manage any group of yours, but I do find it somewhat annoying to only see Instinct threads throughout the entire first page. It's not a big deal, but I see why people don't like it.
I would suggest in the future trying to keep threads from flooding sections, but if you still want to in an effort to put more attention on recruitment, go right ahead. I'll just sit back and continue business as usual.
