OK for once I'm not looking for hentai lmao lol.

What I mean is animes with an adult target audience. Less stupid shit, less childish emotion and ideals etc. Like monster etc.

I've watched most of the mainstream animes intended for adults, but wondering if anyone knew any newer ones/ones that were less mainstream that I may have missed.

Any genre is OK except for the obviously childish ones such as slice of life etc. Something like stiens gate/monster maybe?

3- Ergo Proxy
4- Another (perhaps?)

Now if you like adult anime albeit not very intellectual:
1- Berserk movies (manga is recommended though)
2- Elfen Lied (I have not watched it but I have heard enough)

Try Steins Gate. If you can get past the girl that sounds like a broken radio, then it's quite good.

Better yet Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. One of the best shows for getting people into anime. Or even Death Note maybe... there are several darker, more adult oriented anime shows out there... kinda hard to find though.
