This one was pretty good. Art was top notch and characters were designed well. Comedy was good too.
Although story didn't really get anywhere.

Nah it isn't exactly like Sakruasou just the whole boarding house thing.

I have never watched anything from Shaft, nor do I want to.

I watched mekaku because of the Kagerou Project songs.

And if you did read the manga/listened to the songs, you will know that you're blessed with such an ending because usually it sucks so much more.

Mekaku City Actors: Rating 8/10

It's uh. SHAFT. I mean, you either like the studio or you don't. The characters are well thought out and the story is good enough. Let's be honest, we just watch this because of the studio. It's nothing amazing, but it's not bad either.

No, the only reason i finished was cause SHAFT.

Yeah, I don't intend on watching the Monogatari series because that's just not my type of anime. Shame on me.

And I couldn't care less about Shaft. They're a good studio I'll give you that but I wouldn't finish an anime because of a studio whether it's bad or excellent if the anime sucked. I watched Mekakucity Actors because I'm a heavy IA fan and some guy named Jin made these songs with IA and they all have a story about members of Mekaku, and it really attracted me.

(like Lost Time Memory, Ayano's Theory of Happiness, Dead and Seek, Summertime Records) (and they sound so much better than the covers in the anime)

EXACTLY! Finally someone who understands.

The IA songs are ten times better than the covers tbh, they only used Moonview Recital in the 11th episode, the rest was just covers.

The cover of Ayano's Theory of Happiness really sucked, IA's version is so much better, that other chick is just singing and altering the pitches in her voice because she's used to and all that but it doesn't give a good effect.

I liked the Lost Time Memory cover but not so much, I mean they performed well.

Summertime Record was really meh, I'm talking about the cover here.

I'm the biggest SHAFT fans and even some of their stuff is garbage.
