A quick, easy, and lightweight youtube MP3 downloader. Does not use that sluggish ffmpeg junk. this will work pretty much as fast as your internet allows u to download the file, it converts nearly instantly. Im no pro forum poster so my post will be ugly :P

Reason for creation: this was more for me and my family to download youtube songs quick and easy (my family isnt very good with computers so speed and ease of use were the key here). i figured maybe someone else online might fancy this as well

Dose this just use someone else's hardwork to download? Ie you connect to website and just download the converted file, or did you actually take the time to implement ffmpeg and convert yourself??

So you used www.youtube-mp3.org. You could try webrequest instead of webbrowser.

of course it just downloads via website

did u happen to read the whole purpose of the application?
speed, ease of use, simplicity (was creating it for my family not for commercial reasons. i just put it here in case there was any non-coder who wanted this tool)

the ffmpeg method is just too slow for my taste. ive made one of them before and i got sick of how slow it is. i always found myself using that site cuz its lightning fast. so if im looking for speed, why would i go back to ffmpeg and not use the already faster website?

Youtube has audio and video separate. Assuming you meant video instead, it most likely changes the channel for the audio to be max, while video not (since you're downloading an mp3, not an mp4).

That site downloads the video from youtube and then strips the audio from it...
