After a casual poke around, it doesn't seem like there's any discussion about these. I suppose you could stick this under gaming if you really wanted to, but I feel like this is a better place. What is your favorite VN? What are you currently reading? Mine would be Rewrite, and I'm currently in the middle of reading Grisaia, and making good progress down my second route.

I've done Emi's good end in Katawa shoujo, Aeka's route in Yume Miru Kusuri, and all the routes in Saya no Uta.

Haven't done much with VNs very recently though.

You should definitely check out the rest of the routes in Katawa Shoujo. It's quite well written, even if it can't compare to professionally produced VNs with full voice acting.

Nope, I was talking about visual novels.

The wiki article does a fairly bad job of explaining it, but it's basically like a "choose your own adventure" thing. Quality of the story, animation and art can vary greatly from one to another, but stuff for newbies is usually well made and easy to read. An easier explanation can be found here. The easiest thing you could start with if you're interested is Katawa Shoujo, a free VN made by people over on /a/. It's fairly popular, and was the first VN for most people I've met.

Only two I have ever completed fully:

- Katawa Shoujo
- Phantom of Inferno

You should seriously consider trying some other stuff, like Rewrite. My absolute favorite amongst visual novels, and well worth reading for dozens of hours of entertainment you can get out of it. It's quite lighthearted, though some of the routes can get serious. Still loads of fun though.

I only read Little Busters and I liked it. I may order more VNs when I feel like, even though I think they are rather expensive.

Loved Umineko, higurashi, Grisaia no kajitsu, and dracu riot.
Currently reading grisaia no rakuen and I love it.

finished Sharin no kuni himewari shoujo, hoshizora no memoria, g senjou no maou, grisaia no kajitsu, umineko, and if my heart had wings, and katawa shoujo.
Still have quite the backlog though. :/

I recently started learning Japanese, so hopefully I'll be able to read them after a couple of years.

How are you reading Grisaia No Rakuen? You read Japanese? Or is there some super secret translation that everyones hiding from me?

Wanko To Kurasou - Risa's Route.
Hoshizora No Memoria - Asuho's Route.
Shinigami No Kiss Wa Wakare No Aji - Shizuku's Route.

My favourite would have to be Sharin No Kuni, Kenichi is so badass.
