Hello Everyone,
I am currently in the process of coding an android wallet for omnicoin, as well as omnicoinj (java implementation of omnicoin protocol which the android wallet is based on).

The projects have been forked from another android wallet for Digitalcoin and its corresponding digitalcoinj. They have been mostly updated to omnicoin, but there are a few omnicoin-specific features which I need an omnicoin expert to help with 🙂
Things that still need updating are in the readme of each project. Currently, the biggest thing that needs work is the omnicoin specific code, which deals with difficulty retargeting, etc. All that code is contained here:

Please, someone with good omnicoin knowledge, help me update the settings in that file! I have PMed crypto but so far have received no reply.
When the wallet is completed, I will release it on the android market for people to download and use. Hopefully the release of an android wallet will boost the coins value a bit.

Nice work, but with the way that OMC is going right now the app won't be used.

Well, that is why I am trying so hard to help it out. I released a few threads in the OMC exclusives market over the last few days (for a doxing tool and a coding service) in order to help the coin out. I really want to get this released too, because as long as we keep pushing, it might come back into popularity. What the coin really needs right now is Omni to add more features to the forum which incorporate the coin.

Awesome idea here man, should help the coin :)
It's a great idea and project man. Just make sure to keep up with it and the security level so that it doesn't end up like a certain other online wallet...

I will definitely use this if it comes out on the market :)
Maybe you can implement a small feature that the wallet is also able to mine for coins ? More coins more people will use it :)

Sweet, sounds brilliant! I would love to get this working, but I still need assitance from an omnicoin project member for the coin specific code.

Lol, you wouldn't be able to mine on a phone, that would be so inefficient. You need processing power for mining, a phone isn't really suitable.
An update on progress.
The java implementation (omnicoinj) now successfully compiles with no errors. There is currently still a few runtime error which are being investigated, apparently relating to the satoshi key.
I am still actively working on this project, and will hopefully make some more progress and release another update soon. But primary focus is currently on the MyBB plugins.
I saw programming's thread about an iOS app for omnicoin and thought I should this thread. I am still working on this project, a standalone android wallet, but it is still unclear when it will be completed and released.

I already have a Google developer account, and I think it would be better if I released it. Thanks for the offer though.
