They just changed the name from 9 to 10

I think a lot of people knew this already lol, but thanks for the addition.
Fox, there's a good article about Windows 10 on Newegg if you want to add it to the OP :

And this too, why was Windows 9 renamed to Windows 10 :

My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.
I just tested the snapping feature, and it works with keyboard shortcuts, but not with my mouse. Hmm I wonder if my VM is causing that issue.

You people obsess over the stupid start menu and start screen way too much.

rogueamp & danooct1 made a video on it. The text-to-speech is hilariously bad.
Just added more screenshots. I'll add the video in a bit when I'm back home. I'm leaving now.

I have it installed and I personally don't like it; I prefer 8.1.
Start menu is just ew, so are the icons.

Good thing I installed on a secondary drive.
If anybody needs screenshots or videos of certain things, or malware testing as such, feel free to pm me or reply to my thread.
Honestly I've gotta say that I really like Windows 10 compared to Windows 8/8.1, I really like how they've changed the Snap Assist where it automatically resizes the window to fit the screen to accommodate the other windows rather than it taking up half of the screen, I also like what they've done with the ALT + TAB task view thing, really handy. Only thing I didn't like were the icons, they felt weird to look at and also looked very pale (might just be my monitor but whatever). All in all I can't wait to see what stuff they've ironed out in the final release.

Do you have any other reasons why you like 10 better than 8/8.1? Your post pretty much says that Windows 10 is a superior operating system compared to 8/8.1 because of some minor cosmetic features and functionality that 8.1 didn't have. This copy of 10 they released is obviously nowhere near what they plan on having included in the final version. It's almost like some of you have never even bothered to learn and take advantage of many of the advanced features that Windows can do. All I hear from many of you is complaints about superficial bs that I would expect to hear from my computer illiterate grandparents.
Well I can honestly say I now feel comfortable using Windows 10. The accessibility is as convenient as Windows 7 and features of windows 8 are optional which I like. I think I may be upgrading to windows 10 from 7 finally. I think the user interface is easy to use and will be a major improvement from windows 8 flaws. GOOD JOB Microsoft. Thanks OP for the tips too, I only played with it for 20 minutes. Tomorrow I will analyze the built in security features and report back.

All I see is the same metro feel and the start menu looks ugly and new useless features and a big botnet.
I like the whole idea. I think this is a great substitute for windows 7 . I need more time with this to make sure. It's working flawlessly on my VM.

No, you guys really don't care about your privacy.
Had no further issues on my VM, sadly I can't verify if the WIM-boot feature works there, which I am curious about as it'll reduce the hard disk space used for a basic installation (if you factor in having a recovery partition).
Furthermore, I wonder how we can provide some feedback to MS about what needs to be done to make Windows 10 better than its predecessors. Perhaps this could be done as a HF group and written by one of our tech-writers?
If this isn't possible, I wonder why a tech-preview would even be used, besides being able to build applications (be it for good or bad use) for it.

Haven't read much about big changes yet and haven't seen them yet either. A mate of mine runs it on his desktop and surface 3. It works on 3 screens, but still would have to ask if he can use/split the multi-desktop system on different screens.

Oh sorry I didn't mean to imply that I think that it's superior what I meant to say was that it just felt better to use, in my opinion, and when I used it I felt like it just "clicked" with me, so to say with 8/8.1 it felt kinda weird to me, not in a bad way just that it would take a while for me to get used to it as I had used XP and Vista before so it was kind of a dramatic change for me, as for the advanced features I'm not really that much of a tech wiz or whatever so I can't really talk about those features as much. All in all sorry for the confusion
The Good: Works. No longer has that stupid metro tile screen from Windows 8/8.1. Re-sizable Command Prompt. Much better window snapping. Has Windows aero.
Better File browsing. alt-tab and "windows key"-tab have been improved.

The Bad: Still wants you to use a MS account. Some pre-installed apps ( like skype ) are TERRIBLE. Still has MS store. ( still sucks.)

The Ugly: The multiple desktops feature is weird(I'd personaly prefer it to be more like the linux version). BING!, BING EVERYWHERE!
The search button (next to the start menu) is kinda stupid.

Other notes: The ui changes color with your wallpaper.
