One thing to keep in mind is if there is only 1 HF member(who has the time and capital to buy 1million) who is stockpiling OMC, and he's not quite at 1million yet (Pretend he has like 850K OMC), but he has already spent the amount of money on OMC that he could have just used to buy a group the regular way, he might just refuse to buy any more OMC at it's new high price until the price starts to drop down, and this situation could make OMC crash again with everyone trying to get rid of their OMC when they realize the guy won't buy any since he doesn't have any competition. To prevent this the price should be AT MOST 1 million, any higher and it will just discourage competition. To be honest I think it should be a bit lower than 1 million so it is a more realistic goal for more people, more buyers = less worry about 1 or 2 big fishies setting the OMC price to what they want.

It's not about the money, it's about making OMC go viral.
1 million OMC will be hard to obtain and the person buying will have to go crazy finding that much.
The demand will go up and so will the value.

What if I sold one new HF group for 1 million OMC?

"What if" you sell one new HF group for 1 million omc:

I'm 100% positive that somebody would buy that group really soon. 1m omc is roughly 10% of the existing omc. There surely are a few people who are omc from the moment it came out. Considering it's market value, it wouldn't be a good idea to sell a group for 1m omc. A little amount of extreme miners will get in touch, if they are not already in touch, and they'll be able to buy a usergroup worth +-$8000 for the omc worth of $400 of ealier.

If that's not the case.. The existing coins are too low, considering that a group costs around $8000 at the moment. There aren't even enough coins to get close to that price. Massive amounts of people will attempt to buy as much as possible OMC which will create a peek/drop bounce and you need to consider that.

Don't get me wrong, I don't disaprove the idea of creating the possibility to purchase a new group with OMC. Just that you need to feed this wild idea some more brains before it'll work. I'm sure you'll find something, if you truly consider doing this. 👍

No offense but this shouldn't be done.

There are many members on here who can easily get 1 million OMC. This would decrease the value of official groups even if you are selling only one group.

Wouldn't agree with that at all. We need to give the coin a value without forcing it with something as vast as a group. It will spike the OMC price for a few weeks and drop. We want a stabilized currency, not something that bounces all over the place.

1m omc is roughly 10% of the existing omc.

It's actually about 20% of the mined OMC. However I personally have 30% of all OMC mined already. That means 1m OMC is actually about 30% of all available OMC. Certainly a fair amount to acquire from the open market.
