How do I remove a background from an image on Adobe Photoshop CS6? I found a picture of something that I need for a project I'm making but there's a white background there, and if I put the picture on something else, the white background is there and it doesn't look too good... Can someone please post a step by step tutorial with some pictures and show me how to do this?
Thanks. 🤝
In photoshop take the pen tool outline what you want right click make selection copy it make a new layer paste it in color over the layers under the new layer

Gfx master right here listen to what he says he is a very good photoshoper.

Just use the magic wand tool to select the white. Or use the magnetic lasso tool to select around your image. If you want, I can do this for you.
use the magic eraser tool, and if the background is all white it will magically disappear

Forgot to add this, after you remove the white, save it as a .png because it saves transparency.

Ok, I did what Sprite™ said to do, but that wasn't exactly what I was looking for... The edges are all rough, and also in the picture I'm trying to delete the background off of, it has white INSIDE of it that is part of the background that I want deleted.
Here's what it looks like:

As you can see, edges too rough and still white inside that needs to be removed.
Here's the image of where I'm trying to remove the background:

Magic wand only works good for things with very clear edges and stuff, such as anime renders etc, or things with an outline. You can use different techniques like stroking and blurring/fading to make it look better though.
If you want to clip out like a girl or a car or something you're gonna have to use the lasso or pen tool to manually clip it out and that is gonna take a lot of time depending on the render and the quality you want on the work.
Set a soft brush and use masking (the square with the circle in it).
The soft brush will make the edges a bit more blurry and you can clean up with a soft gum tool after.
Also, changing the size of your brush can help you get some tricky edges down.

I found a higher res version of it

So it's easier to clip out (did this with just magic wand):
Then you can for example stroke it to make it look nicer (i also magic wanded the insides here really quick)
Did all this real quick by just using the magic wand cause i have to go now but good luck
