Well written feedback but I don't agree with some of your opinions.

Quote:I've never actually been in Nightfall per se, but I have been in Instinct. It's not too long ago since the group changed and it's focus remains the same, so I will still act as if I have been a part of this group. I like the inside of the group a ton, but I do not like the way the group presents itself outside of the subforum, honestly. Vinnie runs the group amazingly and it was very laid back, but, at times, it was a bit too laid back... Regardless, the group was amazingly fun to be a part of and, to this day, I regret leaving it. Now, about how the group acts outside of the subforum. Most users are cool and they act completely different inside of the subforum then they do outside of the subforum. However, some users have the impression that Hack Forums, in it's entirety, is one giant Nightfall subforum. Small hordes of Nightfall members will find a thread and relentlessly troll on it. Sure, it can be funny at times, but most times it gets out of hand and can be downright annoying. Overall, Nightfall is a pretty decent group. I like the way they operate, but I just wish that they would take things just a tad more seriously.

- There is no such thing as "too laid back".
- Just because a member of the group that has over 200 members, soon 400 have a few of them post on a thread doesn't significantly that they're a "horde" as you said, a horde of Nightfall members.
- We're not going to take anything seriously, it's a gaming group, this is how we run the group, our members enjoy it and that's all that matters to us.

Quote:I do not have much of an opinion at all about this group, in all honesty. They seem to want to view themselves as elites and I never see much activity from them outside of their subforum. I just wish I could see a bit more from Null as the group as well as the members themselves seem pretty cool.
You're not going to see shit from us so stop expecting us to do something, we're going to stay in our "elite" sub forum and continue to be "elite" and look down on all of you and laugh. Nobody will see us do anything for this forum, we've seen exactly what happens when you contribute to the forum and nobody feels like wasting their time anymore, you can go ahead and waste all of the time you want but none of us are going to.

I also don't agree with the feedback you have written for Void, I think it's completely off the hook.

And as for the feedback you left for Polymath. I don't even want to begin, you're clueless because when Sh1eld was a member they were taking buy ins so that's one part that you're wrong in and another part is they don't have to do jack-shit for the community. I don't know why you kids expect us group owners / leaders to participate and waste our time helping and doing things for the community. We have no obligation to do so, if we do then so be it but in the end it's our choice.

Well, thank you.
What threads did you read? =x

Aww shucks, thanks Clique.
Hope you're not too mad at me about the interview.

Thanks for reading the thread. 🙂
Again, these are my opinions and everyone is entitled to their own.
I also never said the contributions had to be related to money.

Thanks for reading, Arrow!
I wanted it to be different than other threads and I truly wanted to take my time on this one.

I was actually thinking about using a different word other than "horde", but at the time, I couldn't think of one and I just wanted to continue writing. That's not entirely how I meant it, and for that, I'm sorry. However, the underlying message remains the same. I love how laid-back the group is, I really do. However, it becomes a problem when some users view the entire forum as laid-back, even in serious instances. (Then again, this is a forum, so nothing gets too serious.)

As for my feedback on Null, Void, and Polymath... That's pretty much the reason why I did not judge groups that I have not been a part of in my previous thread. Of course someone who has been in the group will most definitely view it differently than someone who's only seen it's members.

I was simply judging the group by what I've seen it's members do around the forum as that's all I can judge. Naturally, this is going to create far different feedback as I can only see so much and not the full scale of what the groups are trying to do.

For my next feedback thread, I am going to leave the groups I have not been a part of out as, yes, I fully understand that most, if not all, of my opinions regarding them are stupid and uninformed.

Thank you for reading the thread though, Vinnie.
I appreciate the time you took. 🙂
Good feedback, and then I read through the groups. You act like groups are meant to contribute to the forums like an official group or give back to people when they don't owe you or anyone else a single damn thing. Not shit, nothing at all.

I have to agree here, groups don't have to do anything for the community but people base their judgment on how the group contributes and all that. People use groups for investments, friends, exclusivity, meeting people, or others to pretend they are great. All of them hold an influence, whether it is pure respect or a flashy userbar, but under no circumstance in the Terms of Service does it say "Group must pose as a benefit to the community"

This notion that groups are meant to contribute is old and short-sighted, if you use this logic all groups are either really bad or really good. If you take giving a place for like minded individuals to unwind and have fun as a contribution then all groups contribute, but you all expect groups to do giveaways and or post tutorials. We have plenty of people doing that without a group, why do we need a group doing it to?

You know, I used to think exactly this...
I don't know how, but somewhere along the way, I lost sight of that.

Thanks Evangelist.
