Do you have a Recovery partition on that computer? Or a recovery/installation media?

It says that /rebuild is not recognized. And no, I don't.

Anyway, read my post here :

Open up your command prompt and type the following code:
Code
chkdsk /f C:

Replace C with whatever the hard drive is. It's most likely C.

I was going to install a genuine copy as it shows in the thread.

/f is pretty much useless, would rather use /r.

Then you'll need to install a legitimate copy of Windows 7. Use one of the official .iso from here:

http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official...ads.12325/

And follow my tutorial here:

Okay doing it, did what you said before, didn't work.

Okay. Tell me how the chkdsk goes when it's done.

Did it, then restarted my pc, did nothing.

You have a 30 days trial on that .iso, which you can renew 3 times for a total of 120 days. So it gives you that much time to buy a legitimate copy of Windows, of the same version you installed and activate it.

Really?
Okay, downloading it now, thanks! Hopefully this fixes it. Is there a chance it could be the actual harddrive or?

The issue is with the boot sector and Windows cannot access it due to damage, corruption, etc. Reinstalling Windows will create a new one and fix that issue.

That's great. Only bad thing is, will I lose all my old files, or will they be accessible if I partition it? When I first partitioned it has a windows.old where I can access all my stuff. If not, that's gonna suck but I'll have to deal with it.
Also, shouldn't restoring fix that problem as it's going before the damage or corruption was done?

If you choose an "upgrade", your files should be kept under windows.old, however, I would back them up first using the command prompt during the installation (if you have an external storage device). Or yes, create a new partition, it works too.

That looks suspicious as hell too. Who have Windows 7 Ultimate keys and who gives them away? They are worth hundreds.
