My journey here on the Hack Forums.

I remember, probably 4-5 years ago, when I first discovered Hackforums. I’m sure like most of you, I found this website by searching “How to Hack Passwords” or something along those lines. I’m seriously glad that I did not join, or I would have been banned for being the annoying 12 year old or however young I was when this happened. When I discovered Hackforums, I searched “How to Hack Facebook Passwords”. At the time, there was this kid that was bothering me, and naturally, I thought it would have been really funny if I could gain access to his account, and do stuff. Evidently, you needed an account to look at any Thread on Hackforums, but honestly, I was too scared to make an account in fear of myself getting hacked. At the time, I thought that Hackforums was this evil scary community of people that just want to hack you, but then again I was littler and less aware. I never registered, but time after time in the future of me looking up tutorials on how to hack, or gain access to things I shouldn’t have been, Hackforums always popped up. Eventually, I finally joined the forum on February 11th, 2014. I can definitely say that I missed out on a TON of things that have happened in Hackforums history, and I honestly wish I would’ve joined sooner. When I joined, I really didn’t understand the point of forums. All I saw were all of these people with high green numbers, and post counts, and I wanted to be just like them, so I just started posting on Threads like anyone else would.

Pretty soon, I was posting and posting, and bought my l33t maybe a week after I registered. I was pretty happy about that, because I thought it was absolutely the coolest thing in the world to have this title. At first, I was active in the Minecraft Section, since I had my very own Minecraft, Server, and that game consumed a good 4 years of my life. I started learning more and more about this forums, and eventually someone redirected me to apply for Ub3r. I got accepted almost instantly (2 days lol), and purchased my Ub3r on the 31st of March. At the time I got accepted, I had only been on Hackforums for about 4+ weeks, 101+ posts, and 11 reps. A lot of people asked me how I got accepted and they didn’t when I honestly thought that they should’ve easily been accepted before I got accepted. So I was now an Ub3r. I have been doing Online Accounts for a while. I was practically obsessed with getting the most OG username on Instagram, didn’t really care about anything else. So I got into the Online Account business. I started off small, with stuff that looking back on I would laugh at anyone who owned those usernames, but I thought they were kind of cool, and I thought that I really had something worth something. After a lot of people telling my stuff was worthless, I then really started to realize that it was. I actually remember trading all of these off-site, and actually getting some really good stuff. Pretty much, at the time, I was buying accounts from people that just wanted to get rid of them for really cheap, and then I would turn around and sell it for 5 times what I got them for, etc. Pretty soon, I started wondering how people got all of these usernames, because I seriously doubt every one of these, if not all of them were obtained legitimately. I started looking into account cracking, and account jacking, and this really starting helping me make money because I was basically getting accounts from nothing but a little bit of time and effort.

After getting used to the whole Online Deal, I started getting into the Appraisals and Pricings Section. It took me a while to really warm up to this section, but after a while, I had helped tons of users figure out what their various items were worth. After hat, came the post whoring. Well, let’s just say there was a month where I was literally on here all day, 24/7, constantly every day. I would say on average, of course always getting the top poster for the day spot, I would average around 275 posts a day. This went on and on, and I decided that I was going to change my username 38,000 times by running a few simple programs that I had made, and combined to change my username so many times. It only really took 15-20 minutes; I left the program running while I went and made a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich. I got banned for a month a few days later, and all of my username changes were basically removed unfortunately. I had not known this was against the rules, but I should have just realized that it was. The ban really helped me though, because I was literally putting 18 hours a day just on Hack Forums, and I was too busy doing this that I shut most of my friends out and pushed them away.

That's basically it, and more to come in the future do to the fact I don't see myself leaving Hack Forums anytime soon.

Groups
  • L'appel du vide

  •
    • L'appel du vide is not at all a bad group. There is lots of high quality discussions that I think most other people are incapable of having due to their immaturity. I would like to still be in the group, but due to the fact on of the leaders disfavors me constantly, I am permanently removed. Oh well.

  • *#@?&%!

  •
    • Instinct was my favorite group, but they still are since they changed to Nightfall. So many memories in the lounges, etc. Best group ever. Rest in Pepperonis.

  • Nexus

  •
    • This was the second group I joined. If anyone else remembers Bandor’s Bar, and all the crazy shit that went on in there, PM me. Honestly, also, I have never played a game of League of Legends in my life. lol

Staff
  • Omniscient
    • What can I say; I think I and everyone else can agree that you have really accomplished much with the site. I really can only imagine how many PM’s you get a day, and have to deal with. That honestly must be really annoying, especially when people beg you for something. You have been really good to me, dealing with my random PM’s every so often. (Not sure how you didn't just say gtfo cause you were busy, but we had some decent conversations.) Overall, I like the fact that you’re extremely dedicated to the site, and you’re actually quite funny.

  • Factor8™
    • We haven’t talked a whole lot, but you’ve really helped me to understand the rules whenever I needed help, so I can’t thank you enough. Quite a bit of people say you’re always busy, and never really have time to help out, but you’ve always helped me out when I reported something that needed to be fixed, so thank you for that. 🤝

  • Viral Dragon
    • My favorite staff member. You've always answered my questions with full detail, and spent time trying to help me figure things out, and I appreciate that. Plus, you can be funny most of the time. :P

Sections
  • The Lounge
    • Probably the weirdest and most interesting section on Hack Forums. Seriously, everyone and their mother post here, whether it’d be new members that have no idea where they’re posting, or the countless number of trolls, etc. There have been so many good moments that I will never forget here, and there will be countless more. Needless to say, I love you Lounge.

  • Appraisals and Pricing
    • A lot of good things and bad things come out of this section. It honestly bothers me when people ask for an honest appraisal and other people feel the need to be rude about it. Yes, their items are worthless, but there is a positive way to send that message. Also, there are a lot of bad appraisals that give users false confidence about how much their item is really worth, but I guess something is only worth how much someone is willing to pay for it. I spend a lot of time in this section because I believe that I don’t let my opinion have any bias criticism, which a lot of users let get the best of them.

  • E-Whoring
    • The E-Whoring section is probably one of my most active sections today. I have found great pleasure from helping other users learn how to E-Whore effectively and earn great deals of money. Although, I do end up reporting probably 50+ threads a day from that forum, because people just don't know how to follow the damn rules.

  • Online Accounts
    • I love Online Accounts, and cool usernames don't get me wrong, but if I see another person trying to sell something like xxsweg10xx or premicrowavings I will shoot someone. No, Omniscient, don't tell the feds about my little plan c;

Shoutouts :D
  • .Ethan
    • Shoutout to .Ethan. We used to literally talk just about every day, and stay up just past 3:00 AM almost every single night playing Anni. The good old days, we should definitely play again sometime!

  • ѴأƦʊᎦ
    • Duuuuuude, #ByteSec, the good old days when we used to talk about all of the l33t hacking things that we did, and you never wanted to play Minecraft with me because you were always playing DayZ. Noob.

  • Zach
    • Zach, y r u teh uglyst stoopid membr on tis form, u no i luv yew <3
      stey lo kwalitee

  • Aura
    • Dude. You are probably one of the most helpful members on this forum. I have come to you quite a few times in the past with computer help, and you have always been there to help me out. You also helped me fixed my father’s computer, which has been having problems forever. Much appreciation, and respect for what you do for the community, and so much more. Also, you're a fucking nerd<3

  • Fox™
    • Fox! You’re probably the closest person to me on Hack Forums, and I thank you for that. We've been through quite a bit, remember The Ultimate Fox Supporting Thread? Yeah, but you've taught me many things about the things that have happened in the History of Hack Forums, and you've basically shown me my way around. I hope you like the Avatar <3

  • inxy
    • Rest in Pepperonis. cunt c; ♥

  • phybeя
    • I have seen you a lot around here on Hack Forums, and from what I know, you are basically Hack Forum’s middleman. One day, I swear I will be just like you. You don’t know how many people still ask to use you as a middleman when dealing with me, but keep doing good phybeя.

  • MeshCollider
    • Mesh. Dude, I really have to just say Thank You. You have really been a great help with a lot of things, and I know you have to potential, right now actually, to get really far with what you do. I really appreciate all of the help with the programs that you have coded for me, and the help with the website.

  • Ty™
    • Ty. You rich little poop head. Seriously though, I've looked up to you before I even knew you. At first I thought you were going to be stuck up or something, but you actually turned out to be really cool. We have done some business in the past, and I shouldn't have sold you that Snapchat for that cheap, but think of it as my gift to you. :D ily

  • Roger Waters
    • You really do deserve the position of a mentor, honestly. I remember the good old days when I used to be a mini mod, even though people hated it, and you would always answer the questions that I had pertaining to the rules. Thank you.

  • xadamxk
    • Best Mentor ever. Also, I love your Mario Costume c;

  • 630
    • Ever since I got into Online Accounts, which was basically the start of my Hack Forums journey, I have seen you giving appraisals, and being active around those sections of the Marketplace. I remember seeing you for the first time, and thinking about how much time you have dedicated to Hack Forums, and I wanted to be just like you. We've had some really decent conversations, and I really think that I have learned a lot from you. I respect your opinions and appraisals.

Suggestions and Ideas
  • Top Poster(s) per Section.
    • This has been suggested before, but I don't remember what happened with that. I think this would be a good idea, so that people can see who knows the section well, and can contact them if they need help or advice. You might think this would cause a lot of spam, but I don't think so because the people who are actually serious would easily outpost them anyways. Just a quick thought.

  • Thread Confirmation before posting
    • This is just a personal want of mine, I like previewing my Threads over and over after I do minor changes to make sure it is as good as I can make it. I really hate accidentally clicking the Post Thread button, and yeah I guess you can see how that would be really irritating. Might actually make a Thread for this, not sure if it has been posted/suggested or not.
