because 5500$ is not a lot of money to me, and i make it in a short time. I like the way iMac's look and my Macbook pro has always done well to me tbh.

I love the apple ecosystem. Being able to text from my mac, receive calls from my iPhone are great. Plus 5500$ is like 500$ to I guess most of you.

Could build a computer (excluding monitor) for $2k that would absolutely shred this thing in every benchmark possible. CPU and especially GPU.
The 5k monitor is great, but only good if you're doing video editing.

My $2,000 hackintosh will outperform your CPU by 40%, and GPU by over 200%. No bugs in OS X, either.
